Sanders Edges Montgomery For High Limit Win

PLACERVILLE, Calif. — It came down to a battle between Californians Saturday night at Placerville Speedway and Justin Sanders prevailed by a mere .104 seconds.

Driving the No. 87 Ridge & Sons sprint car with injured driver Aaron Reutzel serving as crew chief, Sanders won a thrilling battle with Kaleb Montgomery to earn his first High Limit Racing triumph.


Montgomery started on the pole and Sanders lined up third as the duo traded the lead on several occasions over the course of the 35 laps.

Cory Eliason, Brad Sweet, who started 15th, and Spencer Bayston completed the top five.

Sanders was the fast qualifier for the 40-car field with a lap of 10.295 seconds.
