CLEWISTON, Fla. — Steven Mathis Jr. took full advantage of the pole position Saturday night at Hendry County, leading the CRUSA Dirt Late Model feature to the checkered flag in the No. 95.
The Plant City, Florida driver started from the top spot and never relinquished it, earning the feature victory over a seven-car field.
Ron Dubeau, of Royal Palm Beach, chased Mathis Jr. to the finish in the No. 11 to claim runner-up honors. Jason Intoppa of West Palm Beach completed the podium, bringing the No. 18I home in third.
Robert Pettet of Loxahatchee crossed the stripe fourth in the No. 33, while LaBelle’s Tim Barron rounded out the top five aboard the No. 91.
The top five were separated by their finishing positions, while the second half of the field saw two competitors fail to make the final checkered flag.
