Gravel Narrowly Ahead In Sprint Car Rankings

David Gravel retained a narrow lead in the National Sprint Car Rankings this week.

Gravel has an average finish of 3.56 in 64 starts, which puts him ahead of World of Outlaws point leader Brad Sweet, who has an average finish of 3.6 in 63 starts.

Carson Macedo, Brent Marks and Anthony Macri round out the top five.

One hundred and 44 drivers have made the 20 starts required to be eligible for the rankings and 886 racers have run a winged 410 sprint car race this season.

Freddie Rahmer holds the top spot in the Eastern region, while Joe B. Miller has a commanding advantage in the Mid-America region.

Cap Henry leads the Great Lakes region, with Dobmeier on top of the Great Plains region.

Corey Day, who won Saturday’s Gold Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar Speedway, paces both the Western and Northwest regions. A.J. Flick anchors the PA-Ohio region.

One hundred and 51 drivers have combined to win the 425 features run this season. 

Rahmer leads the country with 16 victories.
