STAFFORD SPRINGS, Conn. — Stafford Speedway kicked off the 54th NAPA Spring Sizzler® with NAPA Opening Day festivities that saw the Granite State Pro Stocks in the Casagrande Builders 75 along with Stafford’s weekly Late Models, Limited Late Models and Street Stocks in feature action.
Jeremy Sorel took the early lead and persevered through several yellow flags and multiple restarts to take the top prize in the Pro Stock main event.
Sorel claimed the 75-lap run on the half-mile asphalt track ahead of David Arute, with Jimmy Hebert, Tom Carey III and Angelo Belsito rounding out the top five.
Chris Buffone outdueled Chris Meyer to win the 30-lap late model feature.
The SK Light modifieds ran duel qualifying events to set the lineup for Sunday’s main event with Nick Anglace and Daltin McCarthy claiming victories.
Finally, Jason Lafayette topped the limited late model feature.
