BRIDGEPORT, N.J. — Stewart Friesen raced from sixth starting spot to win Saturday’s 60 Over Special for the Short Track Super Series dirt modifieds at Bridgeport Speedway.
Friesen tracked down Alex Payne for the lead and held off a late-race charge from 11th-starting Matt Sheppard to win the 60-lap event.
Friesen banked a check for $6,060.
Sheppard came home second, with Payne, Alex Yankowski and Anthony Perrego rounding out the top five.
Donovan Lussier won the 44-lap sportsman feature.
