Friesen Holds Off Sheppard At Utica-Rome

VERNON, N.Y. — Stewart Friesen picked up another victory Tuesday night, winning the Richie Evans Remembered modified event at Utica-Rome Speedway.

Friesen started fourth and steadily worked his way to the front before holding off 11th-starter Matt Sheppard to earn the $4,000 top prize.

Anthony Perrego finished third, with polesitter Chris Mackey and Jimmy Phelps completing the top five.

Tyler Peet won the 602 sportsman event.
