Busch Earns Truck Series Pole

LAS VEGAS — Kyle Busch claimed the pole for Friday night’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway during qualifying Friday afternoon.

Driving his own Kyle Busch Motorsports No. 51 Chevrolet, Busch turned a quick lap of 30.222 seconds at 178.678 mph on the 1.5-mile superspeedway.

Busch, who won last week’s Cup Series race at Auto Club Speedway, will share the front row with last year’s ARCA Menards Series champion and Truck Series rookie Nick Sanchez, who drives the Rev Racing Chevrolet.

Chase Purdy was third in a second KBM Chevrolet, while Ty Majeski and Hailie Deegan rounded out the top five in Fords fielded by ThorSport Racing.
