Vermeer & Schuerenberg Part Ways

KNOXVILLE, Iowa — Vermeer Motorsports and longtime driver Hunter Schuerenberg have parted ways on the eve of Ohio Sprint Speedweek.

Schuerenberg has driven the No. 55 machine for the past three seasons. Vermeer Motorsports made the announcement on Twitter Wednesday night.

“Vermeer Motorsports and Hunter Schuerenberg have mutually agreed to part ways, effective immediately. This was not an easy decision for we have greatly valued our time racing together. We thank Hunter and his family for everything and wish them nothing but success moving forward,” said the Vermeer Motorsports post.

Schuerenberg currently ranks third in All Star Circuit of Champions points and has won two features this year, including one with the All Stars.

Schuerenberg’s and Vermeer Motorsports’ future plans are unknown at this time.

“We will later inform on our plans as a team and its future,” said the Vermeer statement.
