Sprint Rankings: Gravel Leads Kofoid At The Top

With the Knoxville Nationals in the books, the season has entered its stretch run and so have the National Sprint Car Rankings.

David Gravel remains in the top spot, but nine drivers have reached the 50-start plateau and are dropping their worst 15 finishes.

Of the 702 drivers who have run at least one 410 winged sprint car feature this year, 240 have double-digit starts. Ten drivers stand just three positions off leader David Gravel. 

Gravel owns a 3.49 average finish in 49 starts.

Michael “Buddy” Kofoid has moved to second in the ranks and he boasts an average finish of 5.040 in 54 starts.

Cap Henry falls to third spot with an average finish of 5.103 in 29 races. Carson Macedo and Rico Abreu round out the top five.

D.J. Netto (Western Region), Anthony Macri (Eastern), Henry (Great Lakes), Ryan Timms (Great Plains), A.J. Flick (PA-OH) and Jesse Schlotfeldt (Northwestern) retained their regional leads.

One hundred and 30 drivers have combined to win 314 features thus far this season.

Gravel leads the nation with 12 victories.
