Racing only once over Labor Day weekend because of weather, David Gravel remains on top of the National Sprint Car Rankings this week.
Gravel, who is one of 17 drivers who have reached the 50-start mark and has begun dropping his worst finishes.
The World of Outlaws point leader has an average finish of 2.90 in 54 starts.
Michael “Buddy” Kofoid, a winner at Huset’s Speedway on Sunday night, is second in the National Sprint Car Rankings with a 4.020 average finish in 59 races.
Pennsylvania ace Danny Dietrich is third with an average finish of 4.340 in 58 starts. Carson Macedo and Cap Henry complete the top five.
Anthony Macri returned to the top spot in the Eastern region and holds a two-point lead over Dietrich. D.J. Netto grabbed the Western region lead.
Henry (Great Lakes), Joe B. Miller (Mid-America), Ryan Timms (Great Plains), A.J. Flick (PA-OH) and Jesse Schlotfeldt (Northwestern) retained their regional leads.
One hundred and 46 drivers have combined to win 393 features thus far this season.
Henry leads the country with 15 feature wins.
