David Gravel swept a pair of World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series features and is now tied with Anthony Macri as the winningest 410 winged sprint car driver this season.
Four regions are now open under the National Sprint Car Rankings umbrella and Macri is one of three (Brent Marks, Daison Pursley) drivers who have started 10 events this year, which is halfway to the 20 starts required for the National Sprint Car Rankings to officially be tallied.
Commissioned by Tom Deery and Brian Carter in 2009, the Sprint Car Rankings are administered by longtime racing official Gary Spaid.
Currently three of the seven regions are open. Aaron Reutzel won Saturday night’s High Limit Racing feature at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas and he paces the Western region. Donny Schatz is on top in the Mid-America region.
Twelve drivers have combined to win the 15 features run so far this season.
Macri leads the Eastern region, while Rico Abreu is on top of the West region. Donny Schatz leads the Mid-America region and A.J. Flick heads the OH-PA region.
Eighteen drivers have combined to win the 23 features run so far this season.
