ALGER, Wash. — The breakout season of Max Mittry continued on Saturday night at Skagit Speedway as the Redding, Calif., driver raced to his first victory at the track in the Exclusive Quality Customs 360 Sprint Cars.
Mittry started outside row one of the Exclusive Quality Customs 360 Sprint A Main event and dominated the A Feature, leading all 30 laps with a seven second advantage over second place most of the way.
Mittry would take the top spot ahead of Eric Fisher in second and Colton Heath in third. Cam Smith set quick time. Mittry won his heat race as did Levi Kuntz.
Macie Logsdon was the star of the show in the Sportsman Sprints. She would lead all 25 laps of the main, keeping a tight hold on the top spot despite heavy slower traffic and a stiff challenge from runner up Jailynn Serrano. Ryan Orchard took third.
The best battle for the lead of the night was in the Hornet division where Mike Guffey, Bryce Kolar and Trent Gillespie went after it for the top spot. At the end, it was Gillespie coming out on top of the hard fought battle, with Guffey taking second and Kolar third. Howard Vos had the fastest lap in time trials while heat race wins went to Kolar and Brian Michelson.
