High Side Matters To Matt Smith

CENTER LISLE, N.Y. — Matt Smith found the high side when it mattered. The Triangle, N.Y., driver went three-wide in traffic on lap 24 to take the top spot in the Dirt Track Digest TV Modified feature and claim his third win of the season.

Also taking the checkered flag on Saturday night were Dominik Albanese in the DIRTcar Sportsman for his first career win, Ed Sites in the IMCA Modifieds, Justin LaDue in the 600cc Modifieds, Zach Bobbett, who won his seventh feature of the year in the 600 Sprints, and Jerry Lobdell Jr., who won his fifth Factory Stock feature of 2026.

Champions were crowned on Saturday night as well, with Darren Smith claiming his fourth consecutive track title in the Dirt Track Digest TV Modifieds and Cody Jackson winning his first DIRTcar Sportsman title. Other track champions included Tyler Belcher in the IMCA Modifieds, Zach Bobbett repeating in the 600 Sprints, Brian Rhodes claiming his first Factory Stock championship, and Tom Donahue in the 600cc Modifieds.

PJ Goodwin and Jimmy Zacharias led the Dirt Track Digest TV Modified field to green, with Zacharias grabbing the race lead in the early laps.

Zacharias led while Brett Tonkin moved forward from third to mount a challenge. Tonkin made his move on lap 13 to take the top spot away from Zacharias as they raced into slower traffic.

With Tonkin and Zacharias out front, Smith was driving forward from the 10th position on the bottom of the track.

Smith made his move on lap 21 to get the lead off the bottom of Turns 3 and 4 before Zacharias drove back by on lap 22. Smith secured the lead for good on lap 23 as he went to the extreme outside of the track off Turn 2 before racing three-wide in traffic into Turns 3 and 4 to take the lead.

Smith drove away in the final laps to win by more than three seconds. Darren Smith finished second to secure the championship. Zacharias finished third, with Jordan Millard crossing the line fourth. Tonkin rounded out the top five.

Dominik Albanese powered to his first career victory in the 25-lap DIRTcar Sportsman Feature, taking the lead from Cooper Iannon and holding off a hard-charging field to score the win. Matt Brewer rallied from ninth to finish second, with Jared Green charging from 14th to third. Cody Jackson and Dylan Piersall completed the top five.

Edward Sites made a late charge to the front to capture the 25-lap IMCA Modified Feature, going from third to first on lap 20 to secure the victory. Rodney Morgan finished second after starting eighth, with Jakub Ingham rounding out the podium. Michael Wilcox Jr. led the opening laps from the pole before settling for fourth, while Doug Stack Jr. completed the top five.

Jerry Lobdell Jr. led all 20 laps from the pole to score a dominant Factory Stock Feature victory. Brian Rhodes followed Lobdell across the finish line in second, with Buck Mills Jr. third, Mike Morse fourth, and Shane Moshier charging from seventh to round out the top five.

Justin LaDue charged from eighth to score the win in the 20-lap 600cc Modified Feature, taking the lead from Dustin Jordan on lap nine as the pair raced into Turn 1. Doug Windhausen finished second, with Jared Green making an impressive charge from 12th to third. Tyler Talada and Brandon Loucks completed the top five.

Zach Bobbett completed an impressive comeback in the 20-lap 600cc Sprints Feature, charging from the rear of the field after flipping in his heat race to score the victory. Bobbett took the lead on lap 10 and drove on to the win, with Dylan Randall finishing second and Timothy Westlake third. Bill Westlake placed fourth, while Mary Earley finished fifth after a DNF.
