Hedgecock Banks $15,000 Tennessean

SEYMOUR, Tenn. — Cory Hedgecock banked $15,000 for winning Saturday’s The Tennessean dirt late model event at 411 Motor Speedway.

The event was sanctioned by the Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals series.

Hedgecock took the lead from Dale McDowell on lap 39 and led the remainder of the 71-lap event for his first victory in the touring series.

Ricky Weiss came on strong at the end to finish second, with Jensen Ford, McDowell and Brandon Overton rounding out the top five.

McDowell was the fast qualifier for the 45-car field.
