Brandon Sheppard Keeps Rolling At Cedar County

TIPTON, Iowa — Brandon Sheppard kept rolling Thursday night at Cedar County Raceway.

Sheppard, who won last week’s Illini 100 at Farmer City Raceway, drove his family’s No. b5 late model past Carson Ferguson on lap three and led the remainder of the Hawkeye Land 40 for the MARS Late Model Championship Series.

Sheppard earned $5,000 after beating rival Bobby Pierce to the checkered flag.

Tanner English, Carson Ferguson and Brian Shirley completed the top five.

Ferguson was the fast qualifier for the 43-car field with a lap of 12.892 seconds.
