IRWINDALE, Calif. — Jacob Gomes collected his third consecutive SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour late model triumph Saturday night at Irwindale Speedway.
Gomes started third in the Spears Manufacturing 100 after turning the fastest lap during qualifying.
Gomes took the lead on the opening lap and led every lap for the third race in a row. It was his 10th career SRL event and his first at Irwindale Speedway.
Jace Hansen crossed the line second, but was disqualified because of a left-side weight violation.
Jeremy Doss inherited second position, with Buddy Shepherd, Linny White and Dylan Zampa rounding out the top five.
Travis Thirkettle won the SRL modified feature.
