Popplewell Claims 37th Halloween 200

SALEM, Ind. — Conner Popplewell won the 37th annual Halloween 200 Sunday evening at Salem Speedway.

Popplewell started eighth in the 200-lap event on the high-banked race track and steadily worked his way to the front of the field to take the victory over Craig Luther, who started second.

Skeeter Crum finished third, while perennial Halloween 200 contender Chuck Barnes Jr. raced from 24th to finish fourth.

Dirt-track ace Tyler Nicely finished fifth.
