Jesse Love will start on pole for Saturday afternoon’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
It was the Richard Childress Racing driver’s fourth pole of the season. Love out-paced Joe Gibbs Racing’s Taylor Gray by 0.029 seconds.
Defending Xfinity Series champion Cole Custer starts third ahead of Austin Hill and Sheldon Creed. Kaulig Racing’s A.J. Allmendinger qualified sixth, while JGR teammates Ryan Truex and Chandler Smith slot into positions seventh and eighth.
Riley Herbst and Justin Allgaier complete the top-10 positions.
Sammy Smith, who’s currently on the playoff bubble (+10), starts 19th. The first driver out of the playoffs, Ryan Sieg (-10), qualified 14th.
