CONCORD, N.C. — For the fifth consecutive year, Charlotte Motor Speedway’s Memorial Day weekend classic, the Coca-Cola 600, has sold out, speedway officials announced during Saturday’s Charbroil 300 O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race.
The capacity crowd for Sunday’s 67th running of the Coca-Cola 600 at America’s Home for Racing will include fans from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and 14 countries across five continents, as far away as Australia, Brazil, South Africa and the Netherlands.
“The Coca-Cola 600 has consistently delivered some of the most thrilling racing our sport has to offer, but what makes this weekend truly remarkable are the incredible displays of patriotism and remembrance that surround the race,” said Charlotte Motor Speedway acting General Manager Jessica Fickenscher. “From honoring the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces to creating lifelong memories for fans, there is nothing like Memorial Day weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Having a capacity crowd on hand is incredibly meaningful, and we are deeply grateful to the fans whose passion continues to make the Coca-Cola 600 one of the most extraordinary traditions in all of sports.”
