Cup Series At Talladega Sees Viewership Increase

Last week’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway brought massive viewership for the Geico 500 on FOX.

According to Nielsen Media Research, the Cup Series race had 4,554,000 viewers watch Kyle Busch earn his second win of the season at the 2.66-mile oval.

Sunday’s ratings were up 5% from last year’s event, which earned 4,336,000 viewers.

The race’s peak viewership was between 6:45-7 p.m. Eastern Time, with 5,847,000 viewers tuning in.

It was FOX’s best performance for a NASCAR race since the season opening Daytona 500 at Daytona (Fla.) Int’l Speedway in February.
