Stewart Friesen Rockets To Craftsman Truck Series Pole At Nashville

LEBANON, Tenn. — Stewart Friesen stormed to the pole for Friday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Nashville Superspeedway. He put down a lap of 30.117 seconds (158.980 mph) to squeak past Grant Enfinger for the top spot. 

Christian Eckes, Ty Majeski and Rajah Caruth completed the top five. Layne Riggs, Corey Heim, Kaden Honeycutt, Daniel Dye and Chase Purdy rounded out the top 10. 

Former Cup Series driver Clint Bowyer, who’s making his first NASCAR start since 2020, will start 11th. Defending series champion Ben Rhodes will start 26th.

Nick Sanchez hit the wall during his qualifying lap and will start from the rear in a backup truck. 

Keith McGee, Justin Carroll and Bryan Dauzat failed to qualify. 

Caruth was fastest in practice earlier in the afternoon. 

Friday’s race is set for 8 p.m. ET on FS2.
