Mosack Speeds To First Truck Series Pole

HAMPTON, Ga. — Connor Mosack earned his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series pole Friday afternoon during qualifying for Saturday’s Fr8 208 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Mosoack, 26, turned a best lap of 31.969 seconds at 173.418 mph aboard a Chevrolet fielded by McAnally Hilgeman Racing.

“It feels good,” Mosack said. “Hats off to the MHR cars for bringing four fast race cars. We have four of the top seven.”

Grant Enfinger was second in a Chevrolet at 32.043 mph and will start outside the front row.

Mosack’s teammate, Daniel Hemric, was third, Rajah Caruth fourth and Jack Wood, in another MHR entry as Chevrolets swept the top five positions.

Jake Garcia was sixth in ThorSport Racing Ford, while Tyler Ankrum took eighth in the fourth MHR machine within the top 10.

Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch qualified eighth for Spire Motorsports as a teammate to Caruth.
