GLORY DAYS: Ramey’s Devil’s Bowl Sweep

The 33rd annual Devil’s Bowl Spring Nationals were rained out in March and rescheduled for June at Texas’ Devil’s Bowl Speedway as part of a two-feature program.

Home state racer Kevin Ramey drove his familiar No. 7m sprint car to a sweep of the night at the historic half-mile oval.

Ramey raced from the pole to win the opening 25-lap sprint car feature and a little less than three hours later was back in victory lane after winning the 25-lap Summer Nationals feature after passing Gary Wright on lap 18.

Wright finished second in both features as 47 cars were on hand for the event that was sanctioned by the American Sprint Car Series.
