Weather Delays IHRA Until Sunday

MILAN, Mich. — The IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series eliminations at Darana Dragway – Milan were postponed Saturday due to weather.

They will resume Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m.

The Mountain Motor Pro Stock made it to the quarterfinal round before a pesky rain caused the postponement. No. 1 qualifier Jerry Tucker will face Kurt Neighbor.

Other matchups include Dwayne Rice vs. Chris Powers and John Koningshofer against Dillon Voss. Tony Pontieri will receive a bye into the semifinals after winning his first-round matchup against Cory Voss.

Legendary motorcycle rider Jay Turner won his quarterfinal matchup against John Toth in Top Fuel Harley. He will advance with a bye into the final round. Jordan Peterson and Ryan Perry will face off to see who makes it to the final.

Pro Nitrous also made it to the semifinals as Tim Molnar will take on Jackie Slone Jr. The other semifinal will see Jim Widener face off with Tony Wilson.

Other classes either didn’t get started or made it through the first round.
