Sprint Rankings: Only Four Races This Weekend

Only four winged 410 sprint car races were run over the Easter weekend as a rain washed out five events on what was already a light holiday week schedule.

While the National Sprint Car Rankings will not open until drivers begin reaching the 20-start requirement, more than 175 drivers have run at least one race this season with Daison Pursley and Brent Marks leading the way with 14 races run.

Four regions are open with Anthony Macri (Eastern), Aaron Reutzel (Western), Buddy Kofoid (Mid-America) and Jacob Bergenwald (PA-OH) leading the respective regions.

Macri and Gravel have each won three features to lead the country. Five drivers have won two features.

Unfortunately, Macri was injured in a crash Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway and is out of action indefinitely.

Twenty-three drivers have combined to win the 33 features run this season.

Commissioned by Tom Deery and Brian Carter in 2009, the Sprint Car Rankings are administered by longtime racing official Gary Spaid.
