Sanders Controls Antioch NARC Sprint

ANTIOCH, Calif. — The NARC King of the West Sprint Car Series made the first and only appearance of the season at Antioch Speedway and Justin Sanders made the most of it.

Landon Brooks and Chance Grasty were side by side off turn two on the opening laps, nearly spinning out.  This allowed Joey Ancona and Sanders to slip by.

Sanders would lead the opening lap. Ancona and Brooks battled hard for the second spot for a few laps, allowing Sanders to extend his lead.

Ancona spun, running third, with four laps to go as he was trying to work through lapped traffic. That yellow erased a 7.348-second lead for Sanders.

The point leader ran away on the restart and picked up his seventh NARC King of the West A-Main win of the season. His first win with the series since June 11th at Southern Oregon.

Brooks finished second, with Grasty, Tim Kaeding and Dominic Scelzi completing the top five.

The finish:

Feature (30 Laps): 1. 2X-Justin Sanders[4]; 2. 21L-Landon Brooks[1]; 3.
