FRANKLIN, Pa. — Ricky Peterson led every lap of Friday night’s Hovis Auto & Truck Supply 410 sprint car feature at Tri-City Raceway Park.
Peterson started fourth and took the lead on the first lap. He was never headed in picking up his second win of the season at the three-eighths-mile dirt track.
“It just felt hooked up tonight,” Peterson said. “The car was great, and I could go wherever I needed. Big thanks to my team and everyone who helps make this happen.”
Dusty Larson had a night to remember, scoring a career-best second-place finish, holding off a determined challenge from National Sprint Car Hall of Famer Danny Smith. Brandon Matus and Jonathan Preston completed the top five.
Josh Ferry made a big statement, notching his first career win in just his fifth start in The Flea Flicker LLC Super Models division. And he did it in style — leading wire-to-wire and holding off a furious late-race charge from teenage sensation Brock Pinkerous.
The 21st Century Energy Group Big Block Modifieds brought excitement and drama as Brad Rapp captured his long-awaited first career victory on the half mile, holding off a hard-charging Erick Rudolph for a popular and emotional win.
The remaining features were rained out.
