ALGER, Wash. — The John Carroll Classic for the Hill’s Meat Company 410 Sprints Cars at Skagit Speedway had twists and turns aplenty, but as the dust settled it was Jesse Schlotfeldt scoring his first win of 2026.
Racing action on the night was sponsored by Skagit Farmers Supply Fuel & Propane, and joining Schlotfeldt as a winner were Colton Heath and Alex Peck.
Heath was on a roll early, capitalizing on momentum he gained in the Exclusive Quality Customs 360 Main Event to build a huge lead in the early goings. It looked like the second Heath win of the night was all but academic before contact with a lapped car damaged suspension on the front of Heath’s car, resulting in a lap 18 spin that would end his night in the Hill’s Meat Company 410 Sprints Cars.
Jesse Schlotfeldt took the lead over and was hounded for a few laps by Levi Hillier before streaking away at the end to win the John Carroll Classic for the 410s, followed by Hillier and Robbie Price. Schlotfeldt set quick time on the night, Heath and Hillier won the heat races.
Heath had momentum rolling to the 410 main because of his performance in the Exclusive Quality Customs 360 class. Starting third, Heath fell all the way back to fifth before finding speed on the top side of the speedway,
With lots of forward drive available to him, Heath marched forward, taking the top spot at the halfway point from Levi Hillier and rolling away to his first win of the season and the John Carroll Classic trophy for the 360s.
Trey Starks moved up late, finishing second while Hillier was third.
The NW Focus Midgets put on a show at the front of their field, with multiple drivers using sliders, crossovers and diamond moves through the corners to settle out the night’s winner. At the end of the race, it was Alex Peck with a maneuver off turn four on lap 17 that ended up with the win, getting past race long leader Shane Smith with that race winning move. Smith would take second while Nick Evans came to third.
