Leary Claims Josh Burton Memorial

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — C.J. Leary won the ninth annual Josh Burton Memorial sprint car race Friday night at Bloomington Speedway.

Leary battled Brady Bacon early in the event, but pulled away over the second half of the race to post his first victory in the prestigious event honoring the late sprint car racer Josh Burton.

Leary took the checkered flag ahead of Jason McDougal in the event that was sanctioned by the Midwest Sprint Car Series.

Geoff Ensign, Bacon and Kyle Cummins rounded out the top five.
