Holmes Gets First High Limit Triumph

HARLAN, Iowa — Tanner Holmes was a surprise winner as the Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing sprint cars visited Shelby County Speedway on Thursday night.

Driving the Buch Motorsports No. 13, Holmes started fifth on the grid and raced to the front, beating Brent Marks to the checkered flag in the 30-lap event.


While it was the first High Limit victory for Holmes, it was the fourth for the team, which previously won with Justin Peck and Daison Pursley.

Marks continued his recent podium streak by starting and finishing second, while Tyler Courtney put on a show, blasting from 14th on the grid to finish third.

Kerry Madsen and Kyle Larson completed the top five.
