Briscoe Is Talladega Sprint Car Star

EASTABOGA, Ala. — It took Chase Briscoe only two nights to pick up his first United Sprint Car Series victory.

Briscoe made his series debut on Friday night and on Saturday won the Shootout at the Short Track finale at the Talladega Short Track.

Briscoe started on the pole for the 30-lap sprint on the quarter-mile dirt track and held off ageless veteran Terry Gray for the victory.

Chase Howard, Hayden Martin and Eric Riggins Jr. rounded out the top five.
