Tuchscherer & Kuehl Reign In Arizona

CASA GRANDE, Ariz. — Central Arizona Raceway finished the 2024 season with the second night of the Harvest Hustle Turkey Classic  on Saturday night.

Four IMCA divisions plus two other classes were on hand at the three-eighths-mile oval.

Chris Tuchscherer had a front row starting spot for the modified main. Tuchscherer also had a plethora of yellows to erase his lead.

It was no problem for the Burlington, N.D., driver. Tuchscherer reestablished his lead after each restart to take the win. Tate Johnson was his closest challenge and finished second while Kelsey Wedelstadt was third.

Northern sport mods was another Tyler Kuehl win as she took the checkers for the fourth time in nine days at CAR. Kuehl won by a comfortable margin and only a second-place finish last weekend kept her from going five-for-five.

Steven Luecht and Clay Erickson were next across the line.

Rob Moseley led the stock car main from start to finish while close racing to fill the podium wasn’t settled until the last turn. Casey Murdock won the duel for second over Chris Tuchscherer.

Hobby stocks winner was Joel Magee with Steve Bitting Jr. putting intense pressure on Magee but the opening never occurred. Scott Bernards was third.

Jeremy Madrid Jr. won the pure stock main for his first win and Shane Hinsley was victorious in the dwarf car main.

CAR returns to action with the huge Winter Nationals running from January 7-18. SPEEDSPORT.tv will be covering the event.
