ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Kenna Mitchell prevailed in her toughest challenges yet, retaining her perfect record in the NASCAR Berco Redwood Late Models at All American Speedway with her ninth and 10th victories of 2026 on Saturday night.
Mitchell’s wins in the Twin 40s were part of the seven main event program held before the best crowd of the season in Roseville.
For the second consecutive event, Joey Kennealy topped Mitchell in time trials for the pole, setting up an exciting opening 40-lap contest. Mitchell was challenged by Madera and Stockton winner Shelden Cooper, dropping Mitchell back to third. Mitchell battled back to regain the second position on lap seven.
Mitchell ran down Kennealy for the top spot by lap 19 while Donald Witkowski drove into third. Hayden Stepps spun in turn two, collecting Modesto’s Mike Beeler and Lincoln’s Kylie Glick for a caution.
Kennealy chose the inside of Mitchell for the upcoming restart. The duo raced side-by-side for four laps before Mitchell edged ahead by mere inches to lead lap 27. The caution then flew for Auburn’s Colton Nelson and Glick colliding in turn three.
Mitchell led the rest of the way for the first 40-lap feature win followed by Kennealy, Witkowski, a surging Joey Iest and Cooper.
An eight-car invert raised the intensity level for the second feature. Cooper led the first 17 laps before Nelson took control of the race. Cooper drifted backwards, then spun in a collision with Glick for fourth on lap 24.
Nelson and Witkowski made up a restart front row where both were searching for their first Roseville Late Model win. Nelson edged ahead with the lead, allowing Kennealy to drive inside Witkowski to challenge for second. Kennealy and Witkowski duo got together, bringing out the caution on lap 29.
Nelson then faced off with Mitchell on the following restart, with Nelson successfully holding her off to keep possession of the lead. A debris caution tightened the action again on lap 30. Mitchell pounced, roaring past Nelson to make the decisive pass on the outside.
Witkowski was undeterred in his comeback as well, charging through the field to challenge Nelson for second. A bump and run moved Witkowski into second place on lap 38 and cost Nelson several positions exiting turn four.
Kenna Mitchell completed a successful sweep of the night with a 2.7 second advantage at the stripe. Witkowski finished second followed by Iest, Kennealy, and Nelson.
Tony Hunt won his fourth NCMA Sprint Car main event of the year when he triumphed in Saturday’s 30-lap Bob Dias Memorial.
Kris Price charged from the rear of the NASCAR Modifieds field to win the 30-lap feature worth $750. Price and multi-time champion Scott Winters of Tracy had a physical battle for the top spot where Price prevailed. Winters settled for a second in a strong return to Roseville after five years away. 2025 Modified champion Tyler Wentworth finished third followed by Jose Hernandez and Timm Williams.
Chad Nascimento won his first career Roseville INEX Legends feature with 14 cars on hand for 30-laps of action. The non-stop race featured Friday winner Rick Andersen of North Highlands finishing second and keeping his place at the top of the points. Turlock’s Antonio Gonzales finished third followed by his brother Santana in fourth and 12-year-old Tate Hegje in fifth.
Champions made up the top-three finishers in the NASCAR Street Stocks with Josh Whitfield snaring the 30-lap race. 2025 champion Tim Walters won a spirited duel with former champ Rich Lavallee for second. 2025 Stockton race winner Sam Reynolds and Laytonville’s Raymond Taylor, Jr. rounded out the top five.
An outstanding 14 car field took the green flag for the NASCAR Mini Stock feature with many twists and turns. 2025 champion John Sproule won the race but the drivers first and second in the standings encountered issues after three-wide battling at the front.
