Raynard & Glasser Claim Dakota IMCA Loot

BOTTINEAU, N.D. — Defending series champion Diezel Raynard held off a late-race charge from Caden Appelt to capture the $2,000-to-win Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature and earn his second victory of the week on the fourth night of the 2026 T&A Tong and Indicator Tougher Than Dirt Tour presented by Schatz Storage.

The Lampman, Saskatchewan driver took command on the opening lap and established himself as the driver to beat. Although several cautions slowed the pace throughout the 20-lap contest, Raynard flawlessly executed each restart to maintain control.

Behind him, five-time reigning North Dakota State champion and former two-time track champion Kyler Satran found himself in a spirited battle with 2024 McLean County Speedway champion Caden Appelt for second. Appelt eventually secured the position and set his sights on the leader.

The ninth-starting Appelt closed rapidly in the final laps and mounted a serious challenge coming to the checkered flag, but Raynard held on by a narrow margin. The victory was his second of the week, fourth career Tougher Than Dirt Tour triumph, and third B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region win of the season at three different racetracks.

Appelt finished second, followed by Satran in third. Ethan Beckedahl crossed the line fourth, while Manitoba’s Pat Smith won a thrilling three-wide race to the stripe for fifth.

Keenan Glasser continued his impressive week in the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods by scoring his first career Robbie Conway Memorial victory in the $2,000-to-win feature.

Reigning Buffalo River Speedway champion Jayden Pavlicek and defending Nodak Speedway track champion Chad Stratchen battled for the lead on the opening lap, with Pavlicek leading the first circuit before Stratchen took command the next time around.

The leaders reached lapped traffic on lap 10 before a caution on lap 11 erased Stratchen’s advantage. Glasser, the 2024 North Dakota State champion, stayed close on the restart before using the high side to take over the lead on lap 16.

The 18-year-old Estevan, Saskatchewan driver began to pull away while fierce battles developed behind him. Several late cautions repeatedly tightened the field and eventually set up a green-white-checkered finish. During one restart attempt, 2024 Junior National champion Payce Herrera briefly got around Glasser, but the pass was negated when the caution flag waved.

Glasser mastered the final restart to secure his seventh victory of the season, third win of the week in four tour events, and first Robbie Conway Memorial triumph.

Stratchen held off Herrera for second. Tim Goodwin finished fourth, while 2018 McLean County Speedway champion Stan Tomlinson completed the top five.

Krys Yost collected his first Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact victory of the season with a dominant performance aboard the Thompson Motorsports No. 00.

Austin DuBois led the opening lap before reigning state and track champion Zach Hughbanks took over the lead on lap two. A caution shortly afterward brought the field back together and allowed Yost, a two-time state champion and two-time track champion, to make his move.

Yost powered into the lead on lap five and quickly distanced himself from the competition. Once out front, he was never challenged and cruised to the victory.

Hughbanks settled for second. Trista Gilbert finished third, followed by J.B. Schwartz in fourth and DuBois in fifth.
