Roberson Inherits East Bay Glory

GIBSONTON, Fla. — Logan Roberson inherited the victory in Friday night’s Crate Racin’ USA 604 late model main event at East Bay Raceway Park.

Roberson finished second and was handed the victory an hour after the checkered flag when fast-qualifier Doug Horton, who dominated the 25-lap main event was disqualified.

Horton started on the pole and led the entire distance on the third-mile dirt track.

After the disqualification, Jeremy Shaw was credited with second, while Travis Varnadore, Steve Mathis Jr. and Jason Welshan rounded out the top five.

Richie Stephens won the 15-lap feature for 602 sportsman machines.
