EAGLE, Neb. — Officials with Eagle Raceway and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presented by FloRacing have announced the cancellation of the High Bank Heist Finale scheduled for Saturday due to the high probability of severe weather during race time.
After closely monitoring multiple weather forecasts throughout the day, track and series officials determined that conditions are expected to deteriorate during the evening, creating unsafe conditions for everyone involved.
Forecasts indicate a significant likelihood of severe thunderstorms, heavy rain, strong winds, and lightning impacting the area during the scheduled event.
“The safety of everyone involved is always our top priority,” said track officials. “While we are disappointed to end the weekend this way, the forecasted weather conditions leave us no responsible alternative.”
