SENOIA, Ga. — Jimmy Owens took advantage of Joseph Joiner’s miscue to win Saturday night’s Independence Shootout for the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Senoia Raceway.
Joiner held the lead when he hopped the cushion on lap 42, allowing Owens to shoot past and lead the final eight circuits.
Owens earned $15,000 for the victory.
Joiner finished second, followed by Cory Hedgecock, Zack Mitchell and Shane Clanton.
The race was broadcast by SPEED SPORT affiliate HuntTheFront.tv.
