Open Wheel Showdown Entries On The Rise

LAS VEGAS — Entry lists for the supermodified and modified portions of the Nov. 14-16 Bitnile.com Open Wheel Showdown at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway have each reached 21.

Leading the way in the supermodified class is Davey Hamilton, father of race promoter Davey Hamilton Jr.

Nathan Byrd, Randy Anderson, T.J. Sneva and Jim Birges are among the 21 drivers already registered to compete for the $5,000 top prize in the division.

The modifieds will also race for a $5,000 prize on the undercard of the headlining $50,000-to-win winged sprint feature. Sixty-one cars are currently entered in the sprint car division.

The 21-car modified entry list includes Byrd, with Shelby Stroebel, Nathan Gasser and Eddie Secord among those having already registered for the race.
