MOORESVILLE, N.C. — SPEED SPORT 1, The Live Racing Network, and LiveRaceMedia, announce that the Visions 2023 RC Racing event will premiere Thursday, Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. ET. SPEED SPORT 1 will also present an encore of the IFMAR Nitro World Championship RC races from Inabe, Japan Thursday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. ET. Check listings for encore presentations.
The 2023 Visions RC Racing event, presented by HPI Racing and AMain Hobbies, showcased a glimpse into this world. The event features professional R/C drivers who have signed on with the elite R/C brands, some with six-figure contracts to race for their teams.
With $30,000 in payouts on the line and the world’s best R/C racers present, this race quickly became the most highly anticipated R/C race to date. Intense racing action, exciting drama, and heart-pounding moments are all formulated to show the mainstream world what R/C is all about.
“We are incredibly excited to finally take the ever-growing sport of R/C car racing mainstream. Seeing this type of media exposure for R/C has been a goal of ours since our company’s inception in 2005,” said Brandon Rohde, LiveRaceMedia owner. “We’ve brought our passion for the sport across many years, many states and many countries. The community of R/C is so vast and wide, spanning all over the world providing an amazing international reach.”
Additional RC World Championship events are planned and will be announced soon.
“I am extremely proud of our team for bringing this vision to life, truly standing as a testament to their hard work, passion and dedication.” said Cam Leung, director of creative & broadcast for LiveRaceMedia. “This show is a remarkable achievement that showcases the intensity, skill, and strong storytelling of RC racing on the biggest stages — and I know the mainstream audience is ready for the world of RC racing.”
“We are thrilled to bring the very best RC racing on the planet to SPEED SPORT 1,” said Joe Tripp, SPEED SPORT CEO. “SPEED SPORT 1 is dedicated to the very best domestic and global racing — and the following for RC racing is massive — every bit as big as many other global racing series — and we’re anxious to share it with our ever-expanding audience.
