Chandler Smith Not Returning To Kaulig Racing Next Season

LEXINGTON, N.C. — Chandler Smith will not return to Kaulig Racing’s NASCAR Xfinity Series program next season, the team announced Sunday morning.

Smith, who is seventh in the Xfinity Series Playoff standings, won at Richmond (Va.) Raceway, three pole awards, eight top five and 12 top-10 finishes this season.

The season finale at Phoenix Raceway will serve as Smith’s final race with Kaulig Racing. Smith, 21, also contested three NASCAR Cup Series races for the team this season. His best finish was an 11th-place result at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway earlier this month.

Prior to joining Kaulig Racing, Smith competed for Kyle Busch Motorsports in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series full time.

Kaulig Racing’s driver lineup for next season will be announced in the coming weeks.
