Two NASCAR Weekends In Kansas

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — NASCAR announced that Kansas Speedway will once again host two banner race weekends next season, returning to the competition schedule May 8-9 and Oct. 1-3, 2027.

The spring race weekend will feature NASCAR Cup Series action on May 9, 2027, along with a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and ARCA Menards Series doubleheader on Saturday, May 8.

The Chase race weekend will include all four series with the Cup Series on Oct. 3, 2027, NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series on Oct. 2, and another Craftsman Truck Series and ARCA doubleheader on Friday, Oct. 1, 2027.

“Fan-demand for NASCAR continues to grow in the Midwest, so we’re thrilled to bring a full-slate of NASCAR action back to our loyal fans over these two race weekends,” said Kansas Speedway President Pat Warren. “This track has consistently produced some of the best racing on the schedule, so our fans are sure to be in for another great race weekend.”

2024’s AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway ended in the closest finish in Cup Series history. After a late race restart, Kyle Larson beat Chris Buescher at the line by a mere 0.001 seconds (3.178 inches), less than the time it takes for a hummingbird to flap its wings.
