SEALED UNDER PRESSURE: Winged Sprint Car Champions

2025 will be remembered as a year of parity in the winged sprint car world.

New stars emerged in the season’s crown jewel events, but when the final checkered flags of the season waved, it was a pair of veterans who won the country’s two national touring championships.

David Gravel won 17 World of Outlaws features and collected 56 top-five finishes and 64 top-10 runs in 68 races to earn his second consecutive World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series championship. Gravel won 18 features overall.

Meanwhile, Rico Abreu picked up his first national title, claiming the High Limit Racing crown after scoring 13 victories with the series and winning a national-best 19 410 winged sprint car triumphs.

Anthony Macri scored a $200,000 victory in the Kings Royal at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway, while teenager Ryan Timms shocked the world by dominating the Knoxville Nationals at Iowa’s Knoxville Raceway.

Kalib Henry claimed the All Star Circuit of Champions title, D.J. Netto was the NARC 410 sprint car champion and Ayrton Gennetten topped the POWRi Sprint League.
