Justin Ashley entered drag racing’s biggest race with 17 career Top Fuel victories, but still thepressure was on the second-generation racer. He answered the call with stellar reaction times during eliminations to win the U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park for the first time.
Ashley outran three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Tony Stewart in the final round to
claim the victory. While Ashley tasted victory at The Big Go for the first time, Austin Prock captured the Funny Car crown for the second consecutive year, while Erica Enders won her fourth U.S. Nationals title in Pro Stock.
