Schatz, TSR To ‘Step Back’ From Ford Engine

LAWTON, Okla. — Tony Stewart Curb-Agajanian Racing and 10-time World of Outlaws champion Donny Schatz will move away from running Ford engines in the familiar No. 15 beginning tonight at Lawton Speedway.

The team, which has raced with Ford power for the last nine seasons, issued a statement on social media on Friday afternoon.

“For more than nine years, TSR has worked collaboratively with Ford performance and Shaver Specialty Racing Engines on the development of the FPS 410 engine,” the statement said. “While that development will continue, TSR will take a step back from running Ford engines during points-paying races beginning tonight at Lawton Speedway.

“We’re extremely proud of, and grateful to, the respective teams at Ford performance and Shaver engines for their support over the last decade.”

Schatz is currently sixth in the World of Outlaws standings with only one top-five finishes over the first 12 races of this season.
