PERRIS, Calif. — Matt Mitchell was the man to beat throughout the night during Saturday’s AMSOIL USAC-CRA Sprint Car Series program at Perris Auto Speedway.
Mitchell was the fast qualifier and raced from sixth on the grid to take the lead from Austin Williams on lap 22. He paced the remainder of the 30-lap event aboard his No. 37 non-winged sprint car.
R.J. Johnson started from the pole and finished second, while Williams, who led the first 21 circuits, finished third.
Charles Davis Jr. and Brody Roa rounded out the top five.
