Sprint Rankings: Gravel Still On Top; New Players Enter The Game

With 24 winged 410 sprint car races run this past week, the National Sprint Car Rankings looks a little different this week, though David Gravel remains at the top of the standings.

There are now 607 drivers who have started at least one winged 410 sprint car feature this season. Forty-seven drivers have now reached the 20-start requirement to be eligible for the National Sprint Car Rankings.

Gravel, who has nine victories this season, has an average finish of 3.676 in 37 starts. He holds a lead of nearly a full position over Pennsylvania sprint car ace Chase Dietz, who moved up to second this week with an average finish of 4.522 in 23 starts.

Troy Wagaman Jr. is third, while High Bank Nationals winner Buddy Kofoid took over the fourth spot this week. Danny Dietrich, who earned the Ohio Speedweek title, is fifth in the national rankings.

Dietz has moved to the top spot in the Eastern region.

Tanner Holmes (Western), Carson Macedo (Mid-America), Cap Henry (Great Lakes), Ryan Timms (Great Plains) and Ricky Peterson (PA-OH) retained their regional leads.

Ninety-six drivers have combined to win 196 features thus far this season.

Gravel’s nine victories leads the nation.
