TULSA, Okla. — Gavin Miller made a statement of speed to earn his fourth career feature win battling at Port City Raceway with the POWRi National and West Midget Leagues on night two of the Turnpike Challenge.
Driving a Keith Kunz Motorsports entry, Miller led all 30 laps of the main event.
Miller turned the fastest lap of 10.474 seconds during qualifying and started on the pole after earning the most points through preliminary action.
Miller took the early lead over fellow front row starter Thomas Meseraull.
Holding steady out front in an action-packed caution-free feature, Miller would hold steady undeterred in the feature victory by leading every revolution on circuit.
Keeping pace during the intense six-minute feature, Jacob Denny would place runner-up with hard-charger Cannon McIntosh rounding out the podium placements.
“The whole crew had this thing rolling tonight from the unload,” said Miller. “I knew in lap traffic it was going to be tough but I tried to split a couple gaps and it all worked out.”
Remaining in the hunt all event, Zach Daum would finish fourth with Meseraull rounding out the top five.
