Flying Flud Tops Port City POWRi Go

TULSA, Okla. — Frank Flud flew at the front of the field in the caution-free Preliminary Night One feature for the Eibach Racing Keith Kunz Motorsports Giveback Challenge presented by Max Papis Innovations at Port City Raceway.

It was Flud’s second career victory with the POWRi Stock Non-Wing Micro League.

High-point qualifier Frank Flud battled outside front-row contender Chris Andrews as the green flag flew, with Andrews holding the front of the field for the first 16 laps.

Swapping sliders on both sides of the track for the top spot would find Flud wheeling against Andrews as Steven Snyder Jr. kept pace for the preferred position as the field battled behind the leading pack.

Protecting the lead for the final 14 revolutions, Flud securef his second career POWRi Stock Non-Wing Micro victory, as Snyder Jr. finished second after starting fourth with early leader Andrews finalizing the podium placements.

“I played the long game on this one with Chris jumping out to the early lead and Steven bearing down on us the whole time. I knew I had to bide my time, keep digging, and make that slider work for the lead,” said Flud. “Feels special to get a win in front of a packed house here at Port City Raceway.”

Driving from beginning the feature sixth, Jeffrey Newell would lock down the final lock-in spot of fourth as Cole Roberts rounded out the top five.
