Wilmot WingLESS Winner Is Wilke

WILMOT, Wis. — Eric Wilke scored his third 20-lap AutoMeter Powered By Gandrud Performance Wisconsin WingLESS Sprint feature of the season topping the special Debbie Boyd Memorial Night program at Wilmot Raceway.

Debbie Boyd, a longtime supporter of racing especially at Wilmot, passed away last November, 2025.  Debbie along with her husband, Eddy, co-own the MLS Auto Clinic in Paddock Lake and have supported numerous drivers as well as Wilmot Raceway, with Eddy also serving as an official for the Interstate Racing Association sanctioned Wisconsin WingLESS.

Following an aborted initial start of the main when several cars spun in the first turn, Rick Fahl took the initial lead. Greg Alt, running second, was staying in contention as the laps stayed green from the restart to the finish.

Wilke, who initially started ninth, worked his way through the pack and shot past Alt in the closing laps. Two laps from the checkered, Wilke powered into the lead past Fahl in turn two.  Wilke went on to his third win in the series this season, all coming at Wilmot.

Fahl held on to second. Alt finished a close third. Rusty Egan and Chris Klemko completed the top five.

“I didn’t expect to catch Rick (Fahl) and get around him like I did,” admitted Wilke.  “I have to thank my Dad, mom, Grandpa, a lot of family members and friends who came.  I have to thank Rob who got us a new set of tires.  It was the first time all year we’ve had new left rear on this car and it made a big difference.

“To win this race on this night, knowing how much Debbie and Eddy have done for racing, especially this class, it means a lot,” Wilke noted.  “I can remember coming her and watching races, and seeing a lot of cars with MLS Auto Clinic on them.”
