CALIFORNIA, Mo. — Jack Wagner returned to victory lane in the headlining winged sprint car feature as Double X Speedway presented a special Father’s Day night of racing.
Wagner put the No. 77 JHR machine to the point on the opening ap and was not headed the duration of the event. With the advantage of a mostly clear track ahead he was able to consistently hit his marks to maintain a comfortable advantage over the field.
Ben Brown looked strong early before a flat tire relegated him to make a change in the pits and rejoin the field at the rear.
Broc Elliott ran second early before fading to fourth in the running order. The hard chargers of the race were Tyler Blank and Samuel Wagner.
Blank moved in to the second position just past midway and Samuel Wagner followed into third. In the closing laps, Wagner was able to move by the No. 75 machine to take the second spot.
At the checkered it was Wagner Boys Racing finishing one-two with Jack in the top spot and Samuel in second.
Tyler Blank finished third, Broc Elliott fourth and Garrett Benson was fifth.
Derek Brown claimed the super stock feature and Cole Campbell won the B modified main event.
